Frankie enjoyed his retirement to15 plus years of age. He led a very active
life - he enjoyed obedience, herding, scent hurdle relays, therapy work,
and film work. When I got Frankie as a puppy Border Collies were only
recognized in the AKC miscellaneous class, so Frankie was neutered. It
was a shame as he had such beautiful movement and conformation and loved
to show himself. He was able to be shown in Junior Showmanship, and also
at the age of 10 he was shown at our regional Border Collie Specialty
and won Best Veteran Dog. Frankie was the type of dog who wanted to do
it all and never met a person, child, dog or cat that he didn’t
like.
